Will the Dock Gorilla work on my dock or deck?
Before you purchase, make sure the following requirments work for your use case.
Requirement #1: Make sure the gap between your Dock/Deck boards is a Min ⅛” to Max ½” between boards.
Requirement #2: Make sure you have a good area on your furniture to secure the Dock Gorilla, that is a Max of 10” above the surface of your Dock or Deck.
Will the Dock Gorilla work with my furniture?
The Dock Gorilla needs to be secured to furniture a maximum of 10" above the dock/deck surface. The Dock Gorilla can be used on a variety of furniture as long as you are within the requirement. Many customers use it on Tables, Chairs, and even water equipment like Canoes and SUP boards. Check out our Gallery!
What kind of wind force can the Dock Gorilla protect from?
We designed the Dock Gorilla to withstand up to 225lbs of wind load. Enough protection to keep most furniture in place during extreme wind gusts. According to the American Society of Civil Engineers, a 100mph wind gust can produce a wind load of 25.6 lbs per square foot on a surface area. We estimate at 80 MPH any average Adirondack Chair could have a wind load of approximately 100lbs. This varies depending the chairs effective surface area, weight, and angle into the wind. Well under the tested strength of the Dock Gorilla. HOWEVER, we reccomend if you are notified of severe weather with damaging winds coming, take the added protection of removing your furniture when you can.

Will the Dock Gorilla work on metal or composite docks?
Yes! The Dock Gorilla will work with all types of metal and composite docks. Just make sure it meets the gap requirements of a minimum 1/8” to a maximum of 1/2”.
The following are gap requirements between deck boards from popular composite deck manufacturers.
TimberTech - 1/8” to 3/16” gap
Trex - 1/8” to 3/16” gap
Envision - 1/8” gap
Fiberon - 3/16” to 1/4” gap
Decorators - 1/4” gap
Will the Dock Gorilla work with Kayaks and SUP boards?
Sure does! We recommend using 2 Dock Gorilla’s. One for the front and one for the back to keep them from sliding around. Check out our gallery for other use case examples.
How is the Dock Gorilla secured to my dock or deck?
The Dock Gorilla secures itsself using a patent pending design and locking mechanism, that slips between the deck boards and anchors itself easily under your dock or deck.

When can I expect to receive my order?
We want to get you your Dock Gorilla as soon as possible. Please allow 1–5 business days for processing and an additional 1–6 business days for your order to arrive based on your location.
Look for a shipment tracking number via email when your order has been processed.
Shipments to Alaska or Hawaii are available to be shipped via UPS SurePost or UPS Ground and necessary shipping fees will be applied at the time of order.
Shipping rates are subject to change without prior notice.
We will not be shipping or delivering on the following holidays. Please note shipping estimates will begin the following business day.

What is your refund policy?
We want to be sure you’re as happy with your Dock Gorilla as we are. If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, we offer free returns for a refund within 30 days of your purchase, provided it has not been customized, is unused and is still in its original packaging.
- Please allow up to 10 business days for your refund to be processed. Times may increase during peak holiday periods. Refunds will be returned to the original form(s) of payment used for the purchase.
- All returns must be dropped off at a USPS drop-off point. If you do not have access to a USPS drop-off point, you will be responsible for paying return shipping.
- Any shipping costs from the original order and any additional return shipping costs are non-refundable.
How do I return my order?

We recommend the following guidelines when shipping your return:
- Pack your item securely to ensure there is no damage to the returned product during transit.
- You may use the original product packaging or your own. Please make sure any reference to old tracking numbers is completely removed.
- Insert any related paperwork inside your box. This can include your RMA # or original order number. Please DO NOT write your order number directly on the product; this may disqualify you from receiving your refund.
- Securely attach your return label to the package. You will receive your prepaid shipping label once you sbmit your return.
- Ship your return based on the shipping label provided. We recommend retaining a copy of your drop-off receipt for your records.
